First use case
- Typically about 12 weeks
- For executive teams
- On site and online
- Tailored to measure
A guided track that takes one AI use case from idea to an approved, funded start. Together we choose the use case with the best mix of value and feasibility, build its value case (the expected benefits and costs of one AI project, in figures) with finance, define what the solution must do, decide whether to build, buy or partner, and prepare the decision to start. Scope and pace are agreed with you before we start.
Is this for you?
Executive teams that want results on one real example before committing to a company-wide strategy, or that have a strong idea without a value case, design or plan to deliver it. If you need the full strategy first, see From Vision to Execution.
A core team of 5 to 8 people: an executive sponsor, the process owner, finance, IT and data, and risk or legal.
None required. Helpful: AI Strategy for Enterprise.
Core objectives
- 01SelectChoose the right first use case on value, feasibility and time to value
- 02ValueBuild its value case with finance, on today's figures
- 03DesignRedesign the process and define what the solution must do: functions, data and controls
- 04DecideDecide whether to build, buy or partner, and select who delivers
- 05ExecutionPrepare the decision to start, with tracking defined from the start
A company-wide AI strategy is not always the right first step.
One real example, with a value case finance trusts and clear results, often convinces an organization more than any plan, and it creates a way of working you can repeat.
How it works
- 01 Assess where you stand, and one use case chosen with your leadership
- 02 Design value case, process and sourcing
- 03 Decide approval, funding and a pilot plan
The track opens with a short assessment of where you stand and a score for each of your existing ideas. Your core team works alongside ours in on-site workshops and regular online working sessions, with assignments in between. Building the solution is not included: it runs through AI Solutions or a partner you choose.
How we tailor it
Always tailored to measure
The three tracks show a typical scope and duration. No two engagements are the same. Each one starts with a scoping conversation and is shaped around your goals, your data, your teams and your pace. Scope, phases, sessions and outputs are agreed with you in writing before we start.
Scope
Which parts we cover, and how many use cases or initiatives.
Pace and duration
How fast we move, set around your decisions and your calendar.
People
Who joins from your team, and who from ours.
On site or online
Where we work together, and how often.
Focused sessions
Which half-day sessions we add, for example on risk appetite or a value case.
Deliverables
- A selection memo: why this use case, and which ones come next
- A value case checked by finance
- Solution requirements: functions, data and controls
- A build, buy or partner decision, with the supplier selection
- An approval file: risk level under the EU AI Act, controls and entry in your AI register
- A pilot plan with KPIs, stop criteria and an adoption plan
- A decision memo to start, with the criteria to scale or stop
What comes next
